Welcome to Central Europe’s Best City – Bratislava

Welcome to Central Europe’s Best City – Bratislava

Article by Arnoldo Perver

Listed here are 5 things I love about Bratislava:

1. Affordable Night LifeI can say that some of the best parties which i have been to were in Bratislava, people here love to party! I have a great deal of good memories of dinners at Rio Grande, Caf? Verne, and Malecon. After dinner, the number of choices across the town are endless. Casa Del Havana is a superb spot for Latin dancing with all the boys, while Channels at Zupn? square is yet another three-floor dance club.

The advantage of the night life is that all the bars and clubs in Old Town are all walking distance with affordable prices on drinks; they don’t call it Partyslava for nothing.

2. Lovely Historical CentreMaybe I have a bias opinion, but I adore the Old Town because the town itself has a lovely charm that makes it such an unique European city to live in. Bratislava’s city centre is compact and can be viewed within a day or two. But if you spend additional time in Bratislava, it’s a very romantic city that is filled up with cultural events and people from all over the world.

3. Great Location in EuropeThey say Slovakia is situated in the heart of Central Europe and it’s indeed very true. Many travelers enjoy the trip to Bratislava from Vienna – only a 45 minute drive away. I really like it due to its location and convenient accessibility to other Countries in europe: Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Croatia. You can go anywhere in Europe from Bratislava on a budget.

In case you are the adventurous-type, the Twin City Liner offers an unique experience for travelers who would like to ride a ship to Vienna. The ship leaves daily from the Danube River and goes directly to the Austrian capitol.

Only one train ride away, Prague awaits you at the Charles Bridge. Or you can head south and be in Budapest in under three hours. I have been to both cities by train and I simply love the efficient travel time.

Additionally , there are direct flights via RyanAir to London, Paris, and Milan departing from Bratislava.

A little gem: If you take a day trip to Bratislava, it is possible to head to Austria and catch Blaguss Vienna airport shuttle from the New Bridge for only ?6.00. Blaguss offers affordable bus rates for adults and students, just the thing for the budget traveler. Buses leave regularly from the Erdbergstra?e bus station to cities Berlin for ?33.00 Zagreb for ?33.00 and Budapest for ?23.50.

4. Friendly PeopleGetting on well with the locals seems to be a pleasure of mine as some of my best friendships are with Slovaks. I also can’t lie and say that the city is filled with handsome guys and sexy girls – I call it ‘eye-candy land.’ The tourists seem to believe so, as I just met a few ladies from Uk who appear to be smitten by all of the hot guys walking around. I simply say to them, “Smile and say dobry!”

5. The Arts and CultureBratislava is a popular city for concerts showcasing big-named artists Rihanna, 50 Cent, and Depeche Mode. So if you love concerts, be sure that your favorite artist will perform in Bratislava.

Throughout the summer, Bratislava is a hub for music festivals presented by Musiq 1 TV and the Bazant Pohoda festival where international singers, DJs, and bands like The Sister Scissors and The Ting Tings have performed at this three-day outdoor musical event.
